We are excited to share that ACTFAST has been endorsed as a Decade Project under the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development 2021–2030.
The endorsement was granted by the Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO as part of the UN Ocean Decade initiative.
This recognition highlights ACTFAST’s contribution to advancing climate resilience and sustainability in aquaculture through science, collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
The formal endorsement letter and Project Charter have now been received, and we look forward to sharing more details once the process is fully officialised.
We are proud to see ACTFAST joining the global Ocean Decade community and contributing to the shared vision of “the science we need for the ocean we want”.
